Even though it is great to sometimes work on your sofa or while you are still in bed, you need to have a separate space for your business to thrive. You are best having a private place in your home such as a spare room which you can use for your business. You will be able to work in here during the day and keep all of your documents in here, and at the end of the day you can shut the door and be home.
Sticking to working hours
If you are running your own business and it is something which you are incredibly passionate about, you will likely get carried away in the office and you can end up working way into the evening after the day is over. This is something which you should never do, because not only will it make you tired, but it is cutting into the time you should be spending with your loved ones. To maintain a healthy work and life balance, you need to make sure that you can set yourself strict hours to work on each day. You can still work extra time due to not having to commute, but make sure you finish, lock the door and come downstairs at 5 pm.

Stop right there. It is unhealthy to stay switched on all the time.
