2 Mins read

One of the main problems facing businesses today is disposing of all their waste and rubbish. In this day and age, companies are expected to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and creating a lot of waste does not help them in their eco-friendly efforts. But there are some forms of waste and rubbish that you won’t be able to escape and, thankfully, there are plenty of ways you can recycle and safely dispose of them. Even though there are now many great ways to dispose of most rubbish, computers and hard drives still pose a big problem. You might be tempted to take your old machines to the nearest tip and throw them away. But that isn’t the answer! There are some better ways you can get rid of all your old machines – read on to find out all about them!

Recycle Them

If you read this article about Computer Recycling Made Fast and Easy, you will find out that you can, in actual fact, easily recycle your old computers. It’s amazing that this isn’t as widely known as it should be, as it really is a useful service. The companies that do recycle old machines make it ever so easy. If you contact some, they will even drop by your office to pick up your machines.

Use Them For Parts

If you have a very skilled tech team on board, they might be able to take apart all of your old machines and salvage any parts of your old computers that are still usable. These can then be kept as spare parts. If ever one of your new machines needs repairing, your tech team will be able to use these salvaged parts in the new machines. Alternatively, you could always sell on these parts to make a bit of extra cash for your company.

Sell Them

If your old laptops are still usable, there is no reason to throw them out. You could sell them on to make some money. It’s worth listing them on the likes of eBay to see how much you can get for them. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that they will still need to be in pretty good condition. Otherwise, your buyers might complain when they receive a worn-out laptop!

Donate Them

If the laptops and computers are still useable but not of a good enough quality to sell on, you could always donate them. Schools are always happy to take donations of any tech as they often have limited budgets to buy computer equipment themselves. This will also help your company build up a reputation for being a business that is invested in the local community.

So, just because you need to get some new computers, it’s not always necessary to bin all your old machines. As you can see from the above points, you might even be able to make a bit of money from them!
