2 Mins read

When you run a business, marketing is everything – if you’re not taking the time to market your business, then nobody is ever going to know about how you can help them and you’re not going to be able to survive.

However, it can be overwhelming knowing where to get started with marketing your medical practice – especially if all you’re seeing around you are other established practices who seem to have built up a great name for themselves over the years and now you don’t really know where to start.

The good news is, marketing really isn’t as complicated or as scary as it seems, and although it’s important to dedicate time and attention to the other areas of your business such as getting a website built, hiring people for things like medical billing outsourcing and the other foundational parts of the operating of your business, you’re not going to be able to do any of those things or maintain them if you’re not making money, so a big part of your focus – especially at the beginning should be on marketing, so in this post we’re going to share with you some of our top marketing strategies to help you spread the word about your medical practice.

Product Demonstrations:

If you have products you know work and that will help your potential patients, then one of the best ways to let people know about these is through doing live product demonstrations. Depending on your marketing budget, you can either do these live and in-person at places like medical conferences and events or you can simply make videos and upload them to places like YouTube.

Blog:

Even if your business is primarily operating offline, then you’re still going to likely have a website and a good way for people to be able to find your website and learn more about your practice is through you sharing useful and informative content with them. This can be done through written blog posts or even video blogs, depending on what you feel most comfortable with. You certainly don’t have to be posting everyday, but the main thing with blogging is that your content is high quality and is posted with consistency.

Social Media:

You may think that social media isn’t going to be the place for a medical practice, but you’d be surprised just how effective it can be. You can set up a business page on Facebook, for example where you can share useful updates with people who follow your page and you can also have them leave reviews of your practice so that you can continue to build trust and authority for your practice and grow it online.

Email Marketing:

Email marketing is such a great way to really keep in touch with current and past clients, providers and anyone else you deal with in your business to let them know what’s currently happening within your practice, what new things you’re implementing, and anything else that could be of interest to them.
